Best card that doesnt need external power?

What about a HD 4670? Do they have a power plug?

(ah, I just checked, seems like the HD 4670 is the best card that doesnt need PCI external power)

Agreed, as the proud owner of a 4670 it plays pretty much everything I've thrown at it so far (COD4, F.E.A.R. etc) all at 1680x1050 from my 330W OEM supply with no troubles whatsoever!

One thing to note that I've only just found out as being a bit common (happened to me but I got mine and resolved it before there were many threads etc about it) and may happen if you get one is that it initially disables the onboard sound and you have to go into the bios to re-enable it, but once you do this it's sorted.

Great card, great price, definately recommended! Bit off-topic but looking at getting Fallout3 - anyone else with the same card - does it play alright maxed out?

Yep At 1360*768 it hardly stresses the gpu, 50-70% max gpu load outside. You should even be ok at 1680x1050! What a great little card....

I'm having problems with Folding on the 4670 at the moment. Just cannot get it to work. Okay on a 3850 in the same PC so the setup is correct.

<Later> It's not supported by the Folding GPU client yet.
