Can someone please advise? Abit list a few compatible PCI cards but I'm looking for the latest and greatest. HMDI essential by the way.
Cheers!

I think I have seen some 8600GTS cards on HDMI, not seen an 8800 myself.

Gainward certainly do some. They also do some 8600GT cards as well with passive cooling so probably what looking for.

HDMI tends to be limited to cards that are aimed at the HTPC so big gaming performance not really required. In fact I believe the 8500/8600GT is actually a better HTPC card.

I believe that ATI cards tend to follow the same trend as well with HDMI.

Alternatively get a DVI card and a DVI-HDMI cable and use whatever card you want.

I'm a bit confused about what's going to happen to my audio when I put a dedicated graphics card in.

The Fatal1ty board already has 7.1 audio which is HDMI'd out to my LCD. Upgrading to a 8600GT or similar may change that? I've read if you implement the spdif passthrough thing you can only get 5.1 out of the HDMI/DVI link. Can someone englighten me?
