Hi guys,

I have a friend who is getting a new case. The details are:

+ He has a budget of £70.
+ Needs to have plenty of space.
+ Needs to be fairly quiet.
+ Needs to have a window.

If someone could spec me according to the above please?

Thanks in advance! :)

save urself a load of money and get the antec 300 imo.

a window is an easy mod :) and gives you the option of what it looks like

First thing that came to mind, and my personal case = Antec 900.

Very good, recommended, but not so good for cable management.

(Not sure if there has been a newer version out that has extra tray holes)

Akasa Eclipse on Members Market at the moment for £45 collected from Stafford. Supposedly perfect with all the bits and boxed. Sounds like a bargain to me. And another £20 will get you a window for it.

900 if you want something pre-done.

If you're looking at a modding platform, consider the Chieftec cases that have just come back into stock. I've got an old BX02, and they're built like a tank, and lend themselves very heavily to modding. All depends what you want from it :). Oh, and they're massive and easy to install a window into.

Argh, why all the votes for the Antec 900? It's shoddy! Loud, ugly, heavy, too many lights and things, a nightmare for cable-management and attracts dust.

A Lian Li PC7+ with a window is a much better option. It's slightly above budget, but definitely worth it. Classy looking, high quality aluminium construction, and no horrible lights. And much more spacious than the 900 too.:)

Quoted for truth. It's a shocking case.

i'd vote for a Lian li PC7+, but it doesn't have loads of space if you putting two 8800GTX's in so it all depends on what hes putting in.
Mine is very definately full and cable management isn't all that great due to the fact i have too much in here, but for a simple rig and easy modding, it is easily best case for price.
