Best case for airflow??

I currently have a NZXT H440 with stock fans.
I know it's not the best for airflow, but at the time I quite liked the style of it.

Stock fans are also quite noisy unless run at minimum speeds.

Looking for a good airflow case.

So far I've seen the Corsair Air 740, but it looks massive (I have the case sitting on my large desk).
Also the Raven RV05?

I also run a couple of mechanical drives so I would need to considering this for the new case.

Any suggestions welcome!

I'm on water just now but i've had the FT05 case (same internals as the RV05) sitting in a box unused for a couple of years now and i'm going to be switching to it soon.

Cable management in the RV05 will be pretty hard especially with using hard drives also although the temps will be hard to beat and it is pretty compact

Luckily for me i only have one m.2 drive and my psu cables are super thin, i just hope the Cryorig r1 ultimate cooler will fit, i know it's going to be very close.

Looking for the best airflow quiet case really...

Inwin 303 looks interesting also.
Struggling to decide!

I don't think the 303 has particularly good airflow, I remember seeing a review that did some thermal tests and it wasn't great, however I can't remember if they tested it with just the one fan the case came with.

I've got one and I like it, under a heavy gaming load my GPU (980Ti) sits at around 60deg, and my CPU (2500k @ 4.6GHz) sits at about 50-55 degrees.

Actually - yes.

I have looked at the Thermaltake P3 for example.

Any other recommendations?

I'm actually throwing out the idea that open chassis will give you a lot less restriction for airflow should you desk have the space for it :D

But I have no experience in that so sorry I don't have recommendations for those

I have the desk space.
My only thought would be that some items may run slightly hotter due to no directional airflow as such?

Silverstone FT05 is probably the best you are gonna find. Motherboard is rotated 90 degrees so that the graphics cards are vertical with all of the IO at the top of the case. It has twin 180mm fans across the entire base which intake air and create a single column that rises out of the top.

Ft05 is lovely and has great airflow but do consider where you will have it. With the top being open the heat and more importantly the noise will vent upwards. All good but if your case is on the floor beside you it may actually be louder than you might expect.

Very true. Its also an absolute pig when it comes to cable management because there is not enough space behind the motherboard tray (especially if your PSU has thick pre braided cables). I actually swapped PSU's over to one that has flat cables to make it easier.

I got my gear switched into the FT05 from my Caselabs case the other day, just waiting for some longer psu cables to arrive and also switching out the fans to AP182.

It seems stupidly tall since i'm used to the cube style case, although it's not really.

Corsair 450D High Airflow.

..clue's in the name. :)

Had mine for three years now and with 2 Mechanical HD's, SLI 970's and a CPU running at 4.5Ghz in the warmest of weathers, temps have never been a problem when at full load.

450D does the airflow job yes ^ stock fans not exactly quiet but you could tune them or replace. I was surprised by how compact and light the case was. Cable management is doable but space is tight at the back (especially for a thick 24-pin ATX cable) so lots of zip ties to get the side panel back on. Once done, you're glad the smaller footprint saved some space.

There are normal motherboard-orientation Silverstone cases that look to have very good airflow too, albeit a bit tacky looking (tastes may differ).
