Best case possible for under £100?

What does everything think is the best case that can be purchased for under £100? The reason i'm asking is because i'm looking for a new case, to me cooling is more important than noise.

I've been looking at the antec p182, what does every think about it? a lot of people rave about the Lian-Li cases - how is the cooling in these?

Also i'm not into flashy lights and windows, otherwise i'd get an antec 900 or 1200.

Anyway what does everyone think is the best case for under £100? Feel free to say any case, not just one that suits me (although you can recommend me one if you like ;))

thanks

I'm not a fan of the windows and lights, myself. I wanted something that cooled as well as something like a 900, but didn't look like an armoured personal carrier for the Power Rangers.

Here is a thread with pics and info about the Lian Li A17. It's under £100 and it's really nice. I had wanted something a bit bigger, but since I've got this, I'm really happy I did. If you are interested in the silver one, I posted pictures of mine on page 2.

I'm sure opinions will vary on what is best, but this at least an option.

P182 is good for quiet PC but cooling isn't best for hot components and fitting long graphic cards requires removing upper HDD rack.
Overrated cheap Stacker copies, 900 and 1200 are again smallish for long graphic cards.

Nearly all Lian Li's have no nonsense design without useless bling.
Do you have any special requirements like need for big amount of HDDs and such?

its just got to be able to fit an 8800gt and two hdds, so nothing major. the Lian Li A17 does look very good. any more oppinons from anyone? i would get the antec 1200 for its too in your face, if you know what i mean.

...may want more hdds in the future though. also may one day go to water cooling, if itll be benificial to me (and if i have the money!) - this is likely not to be for a while though.

The metal is thin, the hard drive cage is very basic and it isn't the roomiest of cases ever but for the money it isn't bad, cooling is nice too.

I'd wager that the P182 would be much quieter than the 300, 900 or 1200.

the antec three hundred looks nice... and cheap!?
That's what it pretty much is, rather cheap basic case.
Coolermaster RC-590 would be comparable and RC-690 clearly better.

Lian Li A17 is also good as long as you take care that case cooling doesn't leave too much warm air for PSU to exhaust.

also may one day go to water cooling, if itll be benificial to me (and if i have the money!)
Bigger A-serie Lian Lis have removable top and top with holes for triple radiator is available.
But water cooling is definitely quite expensive... and of course more riskier.
Also Intel CPUs haven't been big heat producers since NetBurst-fiasco.

i just looked at the Coolermaster 690, very tempted. If i got this i would buy a tuniq as well, as it will all be within my budget. Only thing with this case is the review says it has 2x 140mm (or 120mm) top fans... but on every picture i cant see any top fans?? Anyone used this case? good?

I'm a fan of the Lian Li PC7+ series, having owned two previously I'll never buy another case for under £100. I've never seen a case in the same price range that comes close to the build quality of Lian Li cases. The cooling seems to be pretty average with stock fans.
