ive recently just baught the 7970 matrix platinum which was on offer, i will be buying the rest of my parts for my new pc within the next 1-2 months, i just wanted to ask what the best case is, which will enable me to overclock it to the max?

The case won't make much of a difference to the overclock mate.

When buying cases:

Rule 1. Buy quality, something that will last through multiple builds. That means don't be afraid to spend more. A high quality case is an investment.

Rule 2. Buy something you like the look of. The case is the thing you see every day so make sure it's pleasing to your eye.

Rule 3. Buy something that will fit all the stuff you need it to fit.

any suggestions of good cases?

What's your budget? What sort of features are you looking for? Do you need it to be quiet? Do you need it to have native watercooling support? Do you need it to have dust filters?

Arround £130, I want it looking good and I'm only watercooling my CPU. Thanks :)

I have the Corsair Obsidian 750D and there is nothing but good reviews on this case. I absolutely love it and it can also be had for £130 with free shipping assuming you have signed up for that.

Take a look at TTL in depth review of this case, 40+ minutes and really informative and he gave it the "Gold Award".

Both the Obsidian series cases and Carbide cases are great. The 750D is like all the best things about the 650D and the 800D and put together. The Corsair 540 is worth a look if you don't mind it being wide. Plenty of room for water cooling and cable management. All the nasty extra wires that connect to bay drives and PSU and HDDs are in a different compartment making even a low effort build look neat!
