Another vote for the AF7. Keeps my E6420 @ 42°c on load

In roughly your price range and awesome at cooling are the Thermalright Ultra-120A CPU Cooler (27 quid), Akasa 965 and Artic Freezer 7 pro. I would also say that order (Best > Still Amazing) for the cooling they provide. I currently have the akasa 965 attached to a QX9650 system and idle it runs at 22 and with load 29/30.

Other ones that I cannot find on the overclocker site and that provide good air cooling within your price bracket are the coolermaster hyper 212 and in particular the Xigmatek HDT-S1283. With the xigmatek often regarded as current top 775 air cooler in tests.
