Best cheap case?

I almost went with the Akaska Zen case. looks very nice indeed.

Instead i went with the Coolermaster Elite 330 Black Mid Tower Case.

It looks very nice especially if you put an LED'd fan in the front to shine through the mesh. Its got good build quality and at that price its brilliant.

Also good air flow, my GPU has went down 20*C from being in the old case.

Great case, great price that coolermaster.
Thats where I buy all my components from for customer builds.
But like the dude above has said I would remove it as OC's don't like competition unlike them who allow competitor links in their uncensored and useful review feature.

Cant recommend the Sharkoon Rebel 9 Economy enough. Absolutely love the case, great airflow/cooling and spacious enough. Looks great in my humble opinion too :)

A man in the know I see. Will be getting a Rebel 12 Value for the system in my sig this coming week :D

Yantorsen, what's the cooling like in the Akasa Zen?

With the stock cooler it's great, especially with the funnel it has over the CPU.

but to fit my Tuniq Tower I had to remove the funnel.

I have a Q6600 G0 at 3GHz with a Tuniq Tower with stock paste, and it loads at about 62c, and that's with the left hand side of the case off.

with it on I hit nearly 70c.

the main problem with it is that I have a big graphics card which blocks the air from the front fan getting well to the CPU cooler, and the front fan is in turn blocked by the front fascia largely.

but It's probly as good as any other budget case, and the fans are silent.

the first thing i did on my akasa zen was remove the funnel thing so my cpu cooler could fit. its great apart from that the front fan is blocked a lot, and the front panel audio does not work

Ah right thanks. Have an awful Tiny case here cooled by two 80mm fans and it keeps overheating and shutting down. Think I might go get the Zen.

Dunno whether this qualifies as a cheap case, but at just over forty quid I'd suggest the Thermaltake M9 - for a couple of quid more there is a windowed version.

See my thread on it for pics (not that my pics are that brilliant) etc.

It does if you set your audio to AC97 in the BIOS. The newest version has 2 sets of connectors. One for HD Audio and the other for AC97, so it does work properly with everything now.

I only have one cable from my case, does this mean that it won't work for me?
