No, they don't.
Whilst HDMI supports sound, DVI does not. The newer Radeon HD cards can support output of sound via their DVI connectors but they have to use some extra pins to support it and it thus needs a special DVI-HDMI adapter which passes through these pins to the correct sound output ones on the HDMI socket.
I've just had this grief trying to procure a compatible adapter for my 3650 as Powercolor saw fit not to include one.
