Best compatible card for my board?

I'm hoping to give my aging system a little boost before I can be arsed to build a brand new setup but just need someone to tell my what is the best card my board can take(?)

I have a GA-F2A88XM-DS2 mother board
Athlon X4760 Quadcore CPU
16GB Ram
GeForce GTX750 Ti video card.

May bid on a GTX1050Ti Gaming Graphics Card, 4GB GDDR5 I've seen on Ebay. has a draw rated at 75 W maximum so should be safe. Surely this will add a little boost as compared to my current card and see me through until a new build (?)

Thanks, but what difference does the power cable make and why is it better to find a card without one?

Managed to find a Zotac GTX 1050 Ti card for sale which doesn't have a cable.

Be sure to let us know how it goes and we are of course happy to help further if you need it. Just be sure to uninstall your current drivers and install the latest ones for your card. As far as I am aware, the 10 series of cards are still supported so the latest driver should do you just fine.

So, had to purchase a HDMI cable in order to connect the card to my monitor but so far things seem to have improved. I can now run Elite Dangerous much smoother but No Man's Sky still stutters a little but is playable. Job done I guess and this setup should keep me going until I can be bothered to completely upgrade my entire setup.
