Having read 'The Ultimate Guide' and refering to the RAM section,I want to know if I have the correct RAM setup for my mobo for getting Max FPS in FSX
I have 4 X 512s one in each slot. Would it make any difference having 2 X 1GB in Dual or just running the 2 X 512 s in Dual. I ask this as he quotes that it would be better to run only 2 sticks in dual as opposed to 3 !!!!!!!!!

ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe, AMD 4400+ SKT 939, 4 X 521 CORSAIR 3500C2PT
8800GTX GFX, TAGAN 580W

4x512MB is slower than 2x1GB (and 2x512MB) as you're forced to run at a 2T command rate when you fill more than 2 slots, rather than the 1T command rate you can run with 2x1GB.

The performance hit is around 3% in terms of real impact on your system, and if you're gaming or using a lot of RAM, you're much better off with 4x512MB than dropping down to 2x512MB, 2x1GB being the ideal situation.
