In regards to looking after it, that wouldn't be an issue as it would be in the front room only and they'd only be able to use it while supervised. We only really have 1 TV in the house (our bedroom has one but it's never used)
From my research the switch seems the most logical choice but the outlay is a lot really. Will have to think about that one.
They both have fire tablets but the games her friends play are not age appropriate (Roblox was installed for a while but there was too many things which involved killing each other) which despite being the only types of games I play and the fact I hurt people for fun (mma/bjj) I'm also an adult and she's a child so doesn't need to be killing people her age.
I'm even struggling to find android games which aren't riddled with adverts or microtransactions which are always trying to get them to buy or subscribe to things.
Switch is sounding like the winner though. Mario kart would be ace as I can get involved too and I love that game.
