At the moment my Computer is in a ikea tv cupboard. I keep the door closed because its same room as I sleep in. My temps are from 40-55 is this safe? I am using the sythe mini ninja but now i dont need to have the case top on so got extra room for any cooler. What would you reccomend?

40-55 is safe! what proccessor you using? is it oc'd? Are the gfx card temps ok? Why not turn it off when you go to bed!

are the true cpu coolers worth the cash? quick to fit?

my artic cooler cools fan cpu to under 55c but is a tad noisey nowdays when under load

Definitely worth the money, use one on a 3.8ghz q6600. To fit, the mobo has to be removed from the case and a backplate fitted to the rear of the mobo, then the cooler is clamped down onto the cpu with a bracket and 4 screws, can be a bit of a hassle but well worth it, noise will depend on what fan you use, im currently using 2x2000 rpm sharkoon silent eagles ran on a fan controller so i can run them at 1000 rpm for daily use.

My vote is for a Noctua, I couldn't get the Arctic Cooler to clip onto the board and cool the CPU correctly

Well now i know why was hot, 2 cpus at full load for 2 hours in hot cupboard lol. got to 65 till i stopped it and went to 45 in no time at all

your best option is to probably rig up an exaust fan for the cupboard, a new heatsink isnt going to make bugger all difference if you have a high ambient temperature... you will just be moving more of the same hot air over the heatsink..

Probably right place to ask, was going to go for WC on next setup but changing mind I think, might just go for a TRUE push/pull setup and I've read its better than low-mid end watercooling in a lot of situations

Therefore, whats the best fans to pair with it? Noise isnt really that much of an issue as other components make noise anyway.
