Best cooler for 550D

Looking for the best cooler for ivybridge to fit inside a 550D...

Looking for good performance but also quiet...

8GB (2x4GB) Corsair DDR3 XMS3 PC3-12800 (1600), 1.5V
Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard

Budget - havent got one - best bang for buck (good perf, quiet as cheap as poss)

OR could I use my existing Noctua NH-U12F (they will supply FOC the bracket to attach to the mobo)

I have that board and that Case and I used the Corsair Hydro H100 on the Ivy i5 I got, stock temps are 20c - 25c so very pleased and quiet compared to high end air cooling...

Dead & Gone I assume you've swapped the fans on the H-100, If yes what did you get? what direction do you have the air flow in the H100? & How much did you over-clock on your I5?

(sorry for the barrage of questions)

To OP, I've got an H100 and before I chose my HAFX I was 99% committed to a 550 and know it will fit, though D&G will have to confirm if he leaves the "roof" (top plate) open or not as I didn't think the 550 would be good for air flow (so chose the HAFX)

I've got an H60 in my 550D which is working great with my X4 955. I've kept the top and side vents closed though so the free air in the case gets a bit warm but the components themselves are just fine. Very quiet setup with PWM on. I'll be getting new case fans soon though which should hopefully improve things even more. The stock fans in the 550D are so-so.
