I'm toying with the idea of turning my old HP machine into a folding rig but I've managed to damage the old heatsink on it. I'm in need of a really cheap but fairly decent CPU cooler than can cope with a hot Athlon chip. And it has to be small as the case its going in is tiny.

I dont know, all I know is its an Athlon. The Hp machine is a 463.uk if I remember right. I've had a look on the web. I think it might be a Athlon XP.

Its Socket A (see here).

Maybe this or this?

Though think your best hope in finding them/one is to put a request in the Member's Market Wanted sub-forum (someone could have a good one just laying around)

I wish I could but I'm not at home and the pc itself doesnt have a hard drive or anything. I "believe I've found it. I've checked wiki and this seems to fit the description.

"Athlon XP 2400+ which is a Socket A type"
