hello all forst off i would like to tell you my case airflow issue
i had the rubbush gigabyte fans (3) so far i have replaced 2 with akasa ones (one shorted so always at 100% (intake) and 1 at the back left thermally throttled along with a rubbish gigabyte one, i am planning on getting the delta once its in stock and stick it at the front so that my set up is
210 cfm intake fan
105 cfm extraction fan
and one thermally throttled extraction fan
now this improved my cpu temps but there still not great (38 idle and 44 at the moment while on firefox and windows media) i haven't tested load
at the moment i have an arctic freezer 7 with arctic silver on an evga 780i board
i would like the best cooler i can get (under £50) that will fir my board
then i would like to overclock to 3.2 ghz (do you think this is possible with 4 gig of ocz 1066mhz sli ram?) and do you think i could do it with the cooler you recommend

tuniq tower 120 or thermalright ultra extreme 120 with a 120mm fan and a lapping kit are my 2 choices

for TIM, AS5 i say.

i like the look of that tuniq tower 120 but in that direction does the internal fan blow? will it fit the 780i? and is it taller than the freezer and if so by how much
much appretiated

I've got a tuniq tower on mine. Running at 3.6GHz at about 65 under load.

At 3.6Ghz here too on an Arctic Freezer Pro - about 70'C after a few hours of Prime with 1.45v running through the chip. These coolers are under-rated and I much prefer them to the Tuniq tower.

If your only clocking to 3.2, stick with the AF7.

As mentioned above, IMO the AF7 is highly underrated.

higher, lol. the ACF7 PRO is good enough for 3.2ghz - i'd suggest something heavier for higher than that...

you can't go better than the Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme, along with a good 120mm fan...

Tuniq Tower here, came with my q6600 and IP35 Pro bundle, fantastic cooler, big thing but really quiet and has a variable fan speed. Really impressed with it.

Tuniq tower is excellent for very high clocks, no doubt about that. I am using the AF7 pro and my Q6600 is at 3.2Ghz and running great. :)

Tuniq, cpu at 8x400 and memory set as close to 1066 as you can get (oh 780 chipset, mem can be set seperate from the cpu on that can't it?).
