I have the Akasa Evo Blue aftermarket cooler, is this CPU cooler regarded as any good? With stock voltages on a Q6600 B3, prime is hitting 65C on a 333FB. Thermal paste is applied correctly and according to artics online guide for quads.

Not too sure about the Corsair Watercooler that overclockers sells, I'm scared it will leak while I'm at work. What would be a good alternative. I have the Antec 902 case

thermalright vemonus X
Noctua NH-D14 Dual Radiator CPU Cooler
TRUE

all are good, but it really depends on your budget

i run a TRUE black with 2 ehe deltas on my b3 q6600 @349FSB, 10 minutes of prime (blend test)and my temps are at 47 with 1.3125v

if you can afford it i suggest getting a venomus X and 2 decent fans or you could just get deltas, if you dont mind the noise they make at full power. mine are connected to a sunbeam rheobus extreme to keep them quietier for normal use

Is the CPU cooler supposed to have a fan on both sides? The one I have only has one fan, and I've positioned it blowing out of the back of the exhaust of the case. There are screws to fit another fan on the other side but nothing came with the product

Not supposed to, can if you want. I'm pretty sure people are still divided as to whether it improves performance.

Cheers lads, all I can assume is the heatsink just doesn't cut the mustard. I did get it from a mainstream store (cant mention it on here), and its encased in a plastic tube which houses several blue LED's. i think after reading several reviews that the case keeps the heat in and acts as an insulator.

I'm using an old Arctic Freezer 7 Pro Rev1 on my 6600 @3.2. Idle/gentle web browsing is below, under load running Prime will whack it up to approx 40 deg :-

My prime temps this week have been 60-65 at stock voltage, hence the reason I asked if people had any ideas for a better CPU cooler than the one I have. I am amazed when people say they get 15C over ambient in a CPU stress test in the middle of summer.

The Load temps on my E2140 @ 3.2ghz was around 65c using a Freezer 7 Pro during summertime. I wouldn't be too concerned with those temps when clocked. Grab a Freezer 7 Pro for a few pennies, or a Scythe Ninja plus B. second hand, each will give you decent temps and wont break the bank.

Otherwise go with the original suggestions above with the TRUE, Venomous X or the Noctua Dual if you have space.
