Hi I currently have an Arctic Cooling Freezer Rev 2 which i got free with my motherboard last year.

Is there any better air cooling heatsinks which can be fitted with push pins? As my case does not have a cutout around the back.

Thanks

If your going to the hassle of replacing your CPU cooler why not just remove your motherboard and do it properly. Not many aftermarket coolers use push pin mount mechanisms and the ones that do often aren't very good. I don't think you will find many that are better than what you already have.

Not many cases have a cutout around the back. Push pins are not a good mounting mechanism, just take the board out.

Agree with the guys above. Quite a lot of coolers that use brackets are a one time fit job now. Yes you might have to remove the board. But once the bracket is on, it's just a matter of removing a cross bar retention clip to remove the heatsink for cleaning. Leaving the bulk of the bracket in place. Ive never trusted push pins tbh.

pushpins should be banned!!!

you use such force to get them to click/lock esp with aftermarket coolers you'll end up bending the board and damaging it imo

far easier to buy one with a metal backplate and lift up the motherboard slightly and fit it,you don't have to remove the board completely

The old Akasa Nero 3 was probably your best bet. But they stopped that push pins silliness and now use a proper mounting mechanism.

Else, the Arctic Cooling i30, I think it uses push pin but verify.
