Best Cooling for Haswell?

I got my haswell yesterday and man am I glad I bought it... but now I have a bugging question.

I currently own a Hyper 212 EVO, and this is a relatively good budget cooler, I bought it when I was low on money but now budget is.. relaxed :D

What would the best cooler be right now for Haswell? I want to OC it 4.5 ish GHz and want to spend under £100. If possible £60 and then get the corsair 300R (which case is best, corsair vs the bitfenix shadow)

Also what are the temp differences between the Evo and the upgraded CPU cooler, and what are the speeds you think I could get it

Is it huge and what not I don't want to cry pain when installing this

so what temp differences are there? any graph K2 v 212?

Price difference worth it? Market it to me! :)

A good 15C improvement which can allow you to OC much further.

It's also a breeze to install although the fan clips can be somewhat annoying. See sig for temp difference although using a different CPU.

I've just ordered the 300r, and I see the h100 is the best? should I get the refurb'd one for £40 and spent the rest on a better case?

I want to know incase the cooler is too big is it safe to move my graphics card down to the 3rd or 4th, or 2nd slot.

also. quick question my motherboard is 8 2x4pin except I used my PSU 4 pin, should I purchase an additional 8pin cpu plug if i can find one and attach it to my modular power supply or will it be fine @ 4 pin.

I wouldn't risk the H100. It's excellent but a couple of things to note. The results showing it as its best requires the fan speed to be very high and thus loud. The K2 is much quieter for the same given performance by comparison. Those refurb H100 also don't seem to be entirely reliable so I'd go for the K2.

yes i know i am a tool that worries too much asks too many questions but better safe than sorry eh

ocz mod x stream 500w

i'm upgrading to 750w corsair builder modular once i have CF 7950s in a few months... or should i upgrade now with the case and such all in one go

thanks for the backing helios will go with the K2 not having sufficient funds in my bank is killin me because i really want to get it with offer :D this week only as in up to Sunday?


edit: nvm just saw price difference.. i aint rushing for no £3. hehe

Excellent cooler the k2, using mine on a 4770k, also had it on a 3570k and a 3770k, both at 4.5ghz. No oc on the 4770k yet but current idle temps are, 28-28-27-27.
 
Alright so do you have any cooling setup in mind for when I get the 300R?

If it's too big for the computer compartment in my case then I'll sit it ontop of the left part of my desk and there is a window right behind that... lol awesome i guess ;P

get everything to exhaust to the rear and draw cool air from the front of the case? should the top fans exhaust or intake?

another simple q: How can I set my PWM values my higher. It is currently "slope" 2.5x temp or something like that and I want it 5x or 10x because most of the times the fans are ****e... they barely spin! 2.5 is the max it will go. The front of my case feels warmer and has a warm/slightly burning smell? It turns out my HDDs are running hot so I should fix this in the Corsair 300r

I fitted a H100 in my 300R case . It takes a bit of fettling to fit , 4 or 8 new holes through the top mesh to move it away from the mobo and rear exhaust fan . Now
it's in it keeps my 4770K @ about 67c @ 4.5ghz . I use 2x gentle typhoon 1850 fans .
