Best coop games to look at for in the xmas sale?

As title - I play lots of coop games with my son, and usually stock up around the xmas sales.

He's only a wee nipper, so we usually stick to fairly simple games. Over the past year we'e been playing a lot of the following:

Warhammer Vermintide 2
L4D2
Payday 2
Dying Light
Portal
Deep Rock Galactic
Human Fall Flat
All the Borderland games (Have 3 purchased already for Xmas day ).
Minecraft

What are some that folk would suggest that don't have a steep learning curve?

Sea of Thieves.

Probably my favourite game in co-op. Fits the bill of being simple.

Idiotic question i know but do they support couch coop split screen or do i need to have the game 2 times and use 2 pc's to play with my gf at home?

The ones I've suggested have two characters on the same screen together so you probably just need two gamepads.

Diablo III is another one that does the same thing.

The four Borderlands games split the screen in to two halves. Don't know anything about the others.

I have the first overcooked on the ps4 and we enjoyed it,was just thinking of getting the 2nd on the pc so that is good to know

Addendum - I think split screen coop on Borderlands is a console-only feature! I made a boob there.
