best cpu bench software

Ive tried using prime 95 and at 1024 i get 15.574 which seems pretty high. Is this normal for a phenom 2 940 @3.7 ghz. or is it just the programe is better with intel?

i think the misunderstanding is that Prime doesn't get used for benching on this forum just for stability testing, for benching use superpi, wprime, fritz, 3dmark, heaven etc these are what most people use so therefore you will have the greatest number of similar systems to "benchmark" yours against.
As for your post Intel have better CPU architecture so bench higher than AMD in general.
