Best CPU block?

Currently I'm running an EK Supreme HF but that's getting old and I'm thinking about jumping onto the AMD band wagon and getting into Ryzen.

What's the best CPU cooler these days, and what kind of performance increase might I see over the old EK block?

Doubt you would notice any noticable difference in temps over the EK Supreme HF.

All decent blocks will perform similarly give or take a degree or so, pick one you like the look of !

There's not been much advancement with water cooling blocks in a few years then?

Afraid not, water jets are water jets.
They now look cooler and some have RGB, not sure that is an advancement but ..

Of the few blocks I have used I really do like the build quality of the XSPC Raystorm Pro.
