Best cpu for my pc

Hi all i would like your opinion on what would be the best cpu to buy for my setup , i am still on agp and cant afford to convert to a pci express setup so a new cpu is on the cards , my rig is asus a8v deluxe rev2 , a64 3500 (newcastle) 1gb of adata vitesta pc4000 mem , 6800gt etc , the max stable ht for my mobo is 288 , 289 so is it worth getting a opteron 146 or should i get a a64 venice or san diego ????? this will be air cooled with a xp90 .

personally i'd purchase one of those Dual Asrock boards (or whatever they're called); socket 939 with AGP and PCIe... so you can use your current graphics card and GPU and then upgrade when needed.

So you think i should buy this board and upgrade the cpu & graphics at a later date ?? are these boards good clockers ??
