What motherboard have you got.
I'd recomend Smartguardian, but afaik thats only for DFI boards. Very clean and easy to use

ITE Smartguardian :)

Only works with motherboards using an ITE chip. plenty do, but you'll want to check. You can tell from the mainboard section of cpu-z.

Otherwise, Speedfan.

Do remember, whatever you use, they all lie to some extent or another, often by upwards of 10 degrees C, so there best purpose is to measure change in temperature (ie when you install a new HSF).

afaik they all take the reading of the motherboard anyway so each one 'should' report the same.

I use mbm5.

if i was you i would use asus pc probe2 it is very slick and easy to use it also tells youthe speed in which all you chassis and cpu fans are running at and it also says what voults your power supply is kicking down the volt rail i.e mine is kicking out 12.22 volt down my 12 volt graphic rail.

Just want to re-iterate what others have said - the software is all the same. It's the motherboard which will be the limiting factor in the accuracy.

NextSensor reads from the A64 diode, but even that sensor is (and I quote AMD) accurate to +/- 7'C.

As for the guy with Asus software - 1) I guess it helps to have an Asus mobo, and 2) have you tested with a multimeter?

I used to use MBM5, but I couldn't be bothered to create a configuration for what was at that time the brand new Asrock Dual Sata board. So I switched to Speedfan instead. It works. It doesn't cause any trouble.

That reminds me...the voltage section reports VcoreA and VcoreB, with different values (1.47 and 1.55). It's set to 1.45 in the BIOS. What are the A and B settings?
