Best cpu temp monitor?

Hey guys,

im going to install afterburner to monitor my GPU temp…what about for my cpu? What is the best one overall for this?

Also, if someone knows how to setup cpu / GPU temp monitors on an elgato stream deck, as I’m considering a stream deck mini for this, as I seen the icons on a demo for stream deck, so it deffo can be done!

MSI Afterburner can also show CPU temps.

There's this add-on but it requires you to use HWiNFO64 (which I prefer over MSI Afterburner for monitoring): https://github.com/shayne/hwinfo-streamdeck

can hwinfo64 display GPU too? As not having to use msi ab?

It monitors everything that has a sensor so not just limited to CPU and GPU.

Sidebar diagnostics is another free software option
It can display cpu,gpu temps
And a lot of other stuff as well
As the name suggests it stays on your screen
as a sidebar

guys, im a little confused here..(for a change! :cry:

I have setup HWINFO and have it running, now, im currently on chrome, spotify, mail open and discord plus steam..

but under checking my CPU temps, they are averaging mid 20c doing basic tasks? Surely a 5900X on air cooler would out put more?? i mean i am in a cold house, and a cold room, but that seems very low?

yeah even in the bios would expect 35c approximately
and bios is normally lower than in windows
double check it against one of the others mentioned

something must be wrong? i mean when I have been using paint (for this image etc.) the temps do increase, but doing the VERY BASICS, my temps shown by both applications are as follows.. (but i must say, when I say cold, i mean really cold in here, so mabye another 3-4 for the conditions, plus on the cold floor, so high 20's to low 30's it could possibly be at?

Some of the temps in hw info look
More like would expect
If you run something that loads all the cores
What temps you Get?
And do the cores all boost to what they should?
and if its extremely cold in there
see what your gpu temp is too
If that's at 20c or something then you
Are in an igloo and need to turn on uour heating lol

i only installed them today (will check out max temps tonight when I jump on to some COD), and yes they do boost when I loaded paint and done some other tasks.

And honestly mate, the heating doesnt really help in this house, I **** you not, its absolutely freezing in here!

I was considering dropping the power limit on my GPU, i watched a few videos on YT on it, and seems worth it! Do you recommend it?? mabye down to 85-90 %?

its not going crazy loud or anything just wondered, anything to save a few quid in this day and age!

hey sorry went out for dinner
and trying to reply on mobile it went crazy
i know i have a peculiar typing style lol
but it kept adding like 20 lines of space between everything
that i wrote
so if any weird responses come up thats why
seems fine now i am home on pc
so yes some people with high end cards do the power limit thing
get most of the performance for a lower % of power used

looks like it posted one of those weird ones
but cant seem to delete it
so if an admin can remove it thanks
