i'm buy a complete i7 system in a few weeks - however i'd like to increase the performance of this for my son.

PENTIUM D - 915 - 2.8GHz - LGA775
DUAL CORE 4MB CACHE
C1 STEPPING
800MHz FSB

would that fit alright?

well that will be a great improvement on the single core 3.0ghz in it atm

will the motherboard need updating,,if so how?
