Best Custom WAP Firmware for WPA Client Mode?

I've just got a Buffalo WHR-G54S, this unit is listed as supported by most of the custom firmwares, DD-WRT, Sveasoft & Tomato etc.

All I want out of it is WPA whilst connected in client mode. I've spent a while on Google and it looks like DD-WRT is a deffo, Sveasoft I'm reading is flakey, and I can't find if Tomato supports WPA in client mode.

I thinking I'll try Tomato first, if that doesn't work try DD-WRT?

And advice/alternatives/recommendations fellas?

Sveasoft's been fine here but on a v1.1 WRT54GS rather than the Buffalo - the biggest issue's you've got to pay for it.
