I have the XSPC bay reservoir / D5 combo coming tomorrow,

My loop has a cpu and 2 GPU blocks and 1/2 hose

What setting would you suggest is optimum, does it make a huge difference? I see the pump has 5 settings, the one I have at the moment just has a single speed, Dont know if it makes much difference in coooling/noise

Thanks

TC

Just try adjusting to were it seems quiet, mine is between 2/3 and temps are fine, no real difference anyway.

it makes about a degree or 2 difference between lowest and highest. i have 2 in series and set them to 1 and it does the job fine with a i7 920, 5970, ud-7 full cover and 2 120.3 rads.

Personally I leave mine on 1 (got 2 in a dual bay res on my main rig @ 1, and another in my fiances rig which is also at 1).

Only really crank them up when I see bubbles in the loop, or I'm bleeding the system which makes life so much easier!

As for noise, personal preference really but you'll here it at 5 (low humming noise), at 3 it's barely noticable and 1-2 is pretty much silent. It's actually surprising how silent the D5's are, chances are you'll begin to notice how noisy other parts are after you get them installed (PSU, other fans, etc..).
