Best Database Software

Hi Guys

I'm after advice on database software, i'm helping a friend compile a list of customers that he has and would like to know what sort of database software people would recommend and why, i'm after something that makes it easy to create the initial database and easy to enter data after the database is created

I supose it all depends on the database your planning to use.

If its an access database your best bet is MS Access
if its SQL Server your best best is SQL Enterprise manager
Not sure of one for Oracle
For MYSql the most used one is probably phpmyadmin

but for all of them there are free alternatives

If it's just a small database holding customer info and only one or two people are going to need to use the data in it then you're looking at just creating a simple MS Access database.

You can create a form to view/update the data pretty easily.

Others might say different but that's the way I'd go.
