I wanted to find out how to have best DDR, for example, motherboard supports DDR2 1600, DDR2 1333 ... DDR2 800 or DDR3 2000, DDR3 1600 ... DDR3 1066, what criteria should be selected that best meet the CPU and the mother supported frequencies and exploited to the max.

Thanks.;)

ah right, well with a ddr2 motherboard i generally stick to 6400, but i have had problems when trying to run the cpu above 3.24GHz with the ram at 800MHz and had to overclock the ram, so thats whare the 8500 ddr2 would come in handy.

Just always try and get the fastest ram available for your motherboard, also taking your budget into consideration.
