Hi guys,

What's the best DDR5 Ram to use for an AM5 7900X + X670 E Hero Motherboard.....I would like something with low CAS...

Is there anything lower than CL36 available yet?

I wont really be overclocking.....Just want something super fast and reliable..... with normal power consumption to keep the overall temps down in the system

32GB is more than enough for now.....

Please advise....thanks in advance

I like the look of the Dominator more.....would these two kits below work plug and play, or would I need to mess around with the settings?

You will, the only plug and play kits are at standard frequencies/timings and 1.1v, not sure OCUK even sell any, except maybe the Crucial sticks.

with ddr5 right now buy what you need not what you want.

even the slow stuff is fast. but in 12 months what you pay 500 for now will be budget crap as the tech matures and the chip production is refined

Could anybody please confirm, would the two kits below function correctly with an Asus X670 E Hero AM5 Motherboard and AMD 7900X? I want the best stable and reliable performance possible with argb... 32gb is more than enough for now..... I am a novice, wanting to build my first pc! I checked t he motherboard QVL list and they are not on there? :)

In theory, yes, they should (they use the AMD profiles: EXPO and the speed should be manageable for the board and the CPU). Corsair's configurator appears to have not been updated and I can't find X670 motherboards.

You do realise that you're buying reaaaaaaaally expensive parts for a first build, right? :o

If it was me, I'd get the 32GB Corsair Vengeance 5200 kit that's available for £130 and the Asus B650-PLUS TUF for £230, or the B650M-A WIFI for £205. Then you can break it twice and you're still in profit.

I'v started buying bits and pieces, but since i'm a novice at this kind of stuff.....I still can't seem to make a decision or decide which high performance ram to buy, and which colour would suit the build more, white or black. If the expo RAM involves just enabling an expo profile in the bios then thats fine.....but i dont want to mess around with individual timings and voltages manually, AS I WOULD'NT KNOW WHAT I WAS DOING!!!

What RAM would you put in this and why? I a superfast reliable and stable performance PC....

The build includes:-
White - Lian Li O11D Evo
10 White Lian Li SL120 Infinity fans
Dark Power Pro 12 1200w power supply
Asus X670 E Hero Motherboard
7900X CPU
Z73 Kraken 360mm AIO in White - Will swap radiator fans for lian li SL120 Infinity
990 Pro 2TB or Gen 5 Drive for Operating System
2x SN850x 2tb storage
1x SN850x Storage
RAM White or Black Ram? Thinking of black Corsair CMT32GX5M2D6000Z36 will this look good as well as perform?
GPU undecided.....maybe 7900xt or something else?? around £700
Lian Li Strimer Plus V2 Motherboard and GPU cables
Monitor - PG42UQ OLED
