Poll: Best Defensive Midfielder in the PL?

Seems people are itching to move onto the next position so onto the DM's we go, Initially I was just going to do the Midfield area in 2 parts, your central midfielders (like Modric) and your Creative Attacking Midfielders (like Gerrard) but then due to the limitations of the board that means a lot of players will get overlooked so decided to split it into 3 parts instead.

The nominations I'd like added to the poll are;

Mikel
Lucas
Barry

Parker
Fellaini (for Azza)
Other

(I'm aware this may be a bit of an anticlimax given the limited nature of the position/players who play that role)

Obviously if I'm missing anyone speak up now before the poll is made

Is he a DM? I've always thought he was more of a standard CM or a Support Striker? If you want him added though I can make it happen.....

Alas when your DM is pushed further forward at the expense of one of your strikers I think it's a disservice to pigeon hole him as a DM so he's coming in a later poll

Reina and Suarez both had excellent seasons and Gerrard usually gets voted player of the season regardless of what he does.

I assume you mean the season before the one just finished?

For the record I voted Lucas, I wouldn't have him starting at United but for the job he does I think he's miles better than any of the others (Song probably uses the ball better but overall is a bit of a meh player)

As expected this thread isn't generating much discussion so I'll be starting the centre-mid poll soon, the question I have though is do I include Lampard and Gerrard in it? Personally I'm thinking of including Lampard but saving Gerrard for the CAM poll which will follow. What do you guys think?

I personally think Mikel will be top of the pile come the end of the season, he transformed as a player towards the end of last season
