Tried to use my Fujifilm F700 today and the screen is all garbled, so its time for me to buy myself a brand new one, but with all the models around I need to know what the best one is out there in my price range.

I can go upto £300 if it means im getting a really good one, but can also be flexible if needed.

I have been having a look at the Canon IXUS 800IS, and I cant find anything but good comments about it. I seem to almost have my mind made up about it, but want to see if everyone also agrees, and to tell me if there is any negative points about it.

Also, if anyone also has this Camera, if you could tell me how you find it

I dont mind the fact that it doesnt come with a case or takes a limited amount of photos with the included memory card, as I would probably have bought a leather case and a very large memory card with it anyway.

It sounds to me like its the perfect camera that will do me very proud from what I can see. There has been praises for Canon, and this particular model is quite new and seems to have resolved issues that plagued earlier versions.

I see its for sale at £400 at No competitors, Big Kev in the high street, tried other shops that dont even have it in stock. I know I can get it for £239 at No competitors, Big Kev (can I say this?) as I cannot find it cheaper anywhere else, and wouldnt trust a well known auction site either as they tend to come in from abroad.
