Best DivX DVD Player?

A while ago my brother got a Yamada 6700 DivX DVD player which does the job really well. Plays pretty much everything you throw at it! I'm looking for the same kind of thing now, for my flat mate.

Don't want to spend a fortune and want something which will play pretty much everything. Is the Yamada still considered good, or are there any other new models which are popular right now?

The Pioneer 585 was alwas a popular choice for the money.

Yamada are still pretty good but firmware updates are not that common now.There are lots of cheaper brands that do exactly the same as Yamada models playing just about everything including having card readers attached.
My kids both have one of These and they are great played everthing so far and only cost £20. So look around because there are bargains out there.

Does anyone know if the USB on that will take DivX off a USB HDD?

I would have to advise against Eltax. I used to work for a company that sold them, and we had at least a 60% faulty returns rate on them. The Yamada were better, but still not great for faults.
