Best DLNA for Ubuntu

I'm looking to stream media from my Ubuntu box to various devices. I'm looking for something simple, I've tried Kodi etc but I just want something like Windows Homegroup, something to provide the media only?

Samba?
If you're using Ubuntu desktop then right click and click share and it will install for you. If you're using server edition then I think the manpage is very helpful in this case.

If you want something a little different, plex media server is very good as well and quite easy to get running.
