Best Dock

Just got a laptop setup with Ubuntu, and was wondering what is the best dock people are using?

I use Avant Window Navigator and find it does all I need. Pretty quick, low on use of resources and great add-ons.

Alternatives include Docky, part of Gnome Do which I've heard is really good but when I tried it on my ageing laptop it was quite slow. Also Cairo-Dock is quite popular but I found it harder to get looking good.

I've found Docky a bit unreliable and prone to crashing. AWN is much, much better. There are some nice themes and extra plugins for it, and the animations are nice and smooth.
