Best double sided sticky tape for number plates?

I've removed the big black number plate surround on my car and i'm going to be attaching the number plate directly to the bodywork for a cleaner look.

Does anybody have any reccomendations of double sided tape that won't work it's way off after being washed / rain etc?
 
nip to halfrauds and ask for some of theirs, ive used it on 3 different cars now and not had any trouble whatsoever :) one of them was even on a bumper that got totalled by a certain forum member and his bad reversing and it was the only part of the car that didn't fall off
 
I got some from ebay, 99p for 10 and theres no way these will give way without intervention. I had to double them up as there was some raised areas on the car body for screws.
 
the ones from Halfords are great, you can get ones for if your bumper convexes and stuff, comes with an IPA wipe too which is handy.
