Best drivers for x800 gto

Built my bros new spec recently consisting of :

Opty 144
Hiper 480W PSU
Asus A8n-E ultra
Corsair (TWINX1024-3200C2PT)
Sapphire x800 GTO
Seagate Barracuda 80GB
NEC 16x DVD-RW

Basically I just want to know whats the best drivers to get for the x800 GTO card, my friend was having problems with his Ati card and drivers so just wanna skip any problems that might arise and buy the ones which perform well and are stable!

just download the latest drivers from ati

catalyst 6.1

I tried em, but they wouldn't work. Everytime the comp booted it said error in Cli.exe or w/e the name of the exe file was, and the catalyst control centre was dead. Just installed the drivers for the adapter without doing the control centre instead but could be annoying when it comes down to actually wanting to change any settings on the card.

download the latest .net build. that's why the cli.exe is erroring.


either that or download the 6.1's, installed them, UNinstal the CCC and go download ATi Tray Tools.
