best dvd codec for ffdshow

Hi Guys,

I'm about to set up ffdshow on my pc and I believe I need a dvd codec for it to work. I have an 8800GT so is the purevideo codec the best option or something like the CinePlayer DVD Decoder pack?

ffdshow is a codec. Do you mean you're setting up Media Center or something like that?

Yes indeedy ffdshow is a codec , it can decode mpeg-2 dvd format fine BUT
it cannot decrypt dvd content straight from the dvd drive.

Get the Klite codec pack , in the install menu there is an option for
installing the cyberlink mpeg codec that will allow you play striaght from dvd drive
