Best dvd playback software

I know this will have been answered a numerous amount of times in the past....but you know, times move on, and so does the software...

So I just built the new system, stuck in two benq 1640's...plan to have one set up in region 1, and the other in region 2...but am searching for the best dvd software to play them on....so what are you guys using? What would you be using if you could? And what makes that the 'one' to go for?

You do know about RPC-1 firmware right? :confused:

I use Power DVD.

Most people will recommend Win DVD, Power DVD or VLC Player.

I know nothing of RPC1? I assume it is something to allow to change the region on one drive constantly, or unlock it fully or something?

You can flash the drives so they won't lock out, two drives are useful but you don't need a Region 1 and a Region 2 DVD-ROM's. Also with your setup it means changing setting on Power DVD everytime you want different region. Just use one.

Free Software: VLC Player

media player classic + ffdshow. you dont need to pay for anything guys!
