what sort of price are you looking at? there are a few earphones that stand out of me: the Sennheiser cx300's (~£20), the sony mdr-ex90sl's (~£60-£65) and the westone UM2's (£200+ if you dont import)
it's all about the benjamins and, of course, preference
Thanks for the advice. I'm not working towards a budget but I heard that the headphones that come with the Ipod video's aren't that cracking. I like listening to music and just wanted something that's fairly decent quality and won't break after a week. I don't even know if I'd be able to tell the difference between the Sennheiser, Sony's and the uber expensive set.
I'll probably go with the Sennheiser tbh, a friend at work has some Sony earbuds (not sure what model) and he said that they are very decent quality sound wise but the build quality isn't great, the sleeving over the wires has broken on both sides but he said that is there only downside.
the sleeving on my sony earbuds dissolved from sweat(im one of those people who wears the wire inside my clothes)+aftershave, it only took a few months of excessive use for this to start happening, now theres only minute remains of the sleeving left on the earbuds, the wires finally started to feel the strain and strands are seperating .. im due to buy some new ones, might buy some new sony ones if theyv changed the sleeving material when i get a new mp3, mine broke a few months ago and then my replacement got stole 3 days after i bought it while i was on holiday oh the joy. You probably wont get the use out of a £200 pair, id go for the sonys of sennheisers..
I have just ordered a 30G iPod and want to get more out of it with new headphones but I'm on a really tight budget for buying extras - £30!! WHat would you recommend for that price - I want comfortable buds but have no idea about brands, models etc as I am new to digital audio. Thanks
