Hi guys,

I am looking for a good earphone for around £100. Currently I am looking at the westone UM Pro 10 but not sure if there is perhaps another (better) alternate. Preferably one with good sound isolation. I am new to this World so if you should require any additional information just let me know.
Thank you in advance. :)

Danny

Depends on what sort of sound signature you are looking for - bassy, neutral, V shaped (bass and highs are enhanced).

I often use my RHA MA750's in preference to my full sized Sennheiser HD650 and AKG K702 headphones. The signature is quite neutral with a bass that extends very low without much of a mid bass boost, so they are not boomy. The mids are smooth and rich while the highs are detailed but roll off gently before becoming sibilant. A bargain at £80.

Hi rids57,
Thanks for your information buddy.
Mostly, I listen to piano, Jazz, blue that sort of thing. "New" music sometimes, by "new" music I mean James Blunt, OneRepublic, Coldplay,... you name it.
I like the design of the Westone UM PRO 10 and Shure SE215, they look kinda professional though, not sure about their sound isolation compared to the RHA MA750. How would you rate them compared to the RHA MA750 overall?

I use Shure SE215, I have had about 5 other pairs including more expensive and always go back to the SE215.

I was just posting the opinion of someone who knows a hell of a lot more about IEMs than me - no need to get all butt hurt.

Glad to hear it :)

Seriously though, I almost bought the SE215 myself as it has a very good sound and is reported to be sublimely comfortable but the disturbingly common faults with the cable eventually put me off and I got the MA750 instead.

Thanks guys for your valuable input.
So I decided to go for the RHA MA750 as suggested. I listen music from Spotify 320kb/s. So do I need a DAC or anything to go with it? Or it is good to just plug and play?
