Best Earphones?

Avaid Sennheisser MX500s if you want bass. Im quite disappointed with mine.

i find them quite good for bass :S
um, do you mind head band headphones if you dont sennheiser px100 deserve a look, also i hear good things about sennheiser cx300 too

I found the MX500 quite weak on bass too, and they're also a bit quiet for using with a portable device. CX300 are good if you like in-ear, although they amplify sounds from your body. Koss KSC-75s are great if you don't mind clip-ons. Koss Porta Pro are great too if you don't mind the headband.

MX500 are poor...

the PX100s I hear are very good.

£20 you will get a pair of cheap sennheiser, creative or sony. Brach out and yo uwill get sooo much more for you're money

I spent £30-35 last time on a pair of in-ear sony's that were meant to be amazing. they were total ****. But what do you advise?

I did some research recently on some cheaper headphones that are the best bang for your buck...err...pound...and I decided on the Sennheiser HD 205

Very pleased with my purchase...however I bought them also because I wanted a long cord (these have a 10ft) cord....but they have EXCELLENT sound reproduction and very good bass....They sound amazing on my X-FI and extremely good on my laptop onboard sound

If the in-ear Sonys you had were EX71 then yeah they are poor. Sennheiser CX300 have much better sound quality but do also have some issues in common with the Sonys, like short cable, boomy bass and because they're canal phones they amplify noises from the wire or your body, which I found irritating.

Have a look at Koss KSC-75. If you can face wearing them then they offer superb sound for £15.

MX500's don't have huge bass that everyone craves these days. Personally I like them though. But if you use them with a source that doesn't have much bass you might not. PX100's are good but too bassy for me. I actually have the PMX100's( Neckband) I use them for the PC. Most people like the bass heavy PX100's.

Koss KSC-55/75 or Sennheiser HD 205 are meant to be great for the price.
