Best electric shaver for keeping that 3-day stubble?

My GF keeps telling me how she likes my 3 or 4 day stubble, much more than 0-day anyway... So I was thinking of investing in one of those shavers that's designed to leave a certain length.

I normally wet shave so have never used an electric shaver. Currently i'm at risk of buying the only one I've really seen an advert for (the Babyliss one with the digital setting for stubble / beard length). But are there any better ones on the market that people here have used?

Thanks!

I have this, which had by far the best reviews, much better that the new digital one anyhow.

It's quite good however not perfect. It's hard to get consistent stubble length and easy to miss bit especially round the mouth area and neck.

Also trimming stubble never quite looks the same as when you've grown it from a clean shave.

I use the Philips TurboVac Beard Trimmer, worth it just for the tidyness alone, good trimmer as well though.
I used to use one of these, but recently replaced it with a Remington Diamond (or something like that). Even though the Philips had the vacuum, it still makes mess and the head is far larger than the Remington, which is also really, really easy to clean.

My only advice would be avoid Babyliss, my i-trim broke after 6 months or so. I've had a similar Remington for nearly 18 months now, its so much better built and water proof so you can actually clean it. I slices through my mustard beard pretty nicely, but it does look like a futuristic ***** :(.

Can I ask what happened to your i-trim?

I got one for xmas and it was great, but now it just cuts out after a few seconds use :(

It just slowly died, like it was really really low on battery. Chucked it in the charger, intermittently charged for about 5 minutes then died. Guess the battery/charging circuitry just gave up the ghost.

Luckily enough I wasn't mid shave when it happened!

Isn't 3-day stubble, a beard? :p

Its just at that point where its not hardcore stubbly anymore, nor a beard, close to the point where its just face fluff.

Great...Just bought one yesterday:(

There's always someone on here laughing at how long it takes someone else to grow facial hair. The thing is, I'd rather only shave every few days, than have to do it every single day. It's just added hassle. :p

But I thought this forum was populated by he-man alpha males who can grow a full-on bushy beard in 4 hours, and who shave by directing their alpha man-rage at the hair follicles until they drop off in abject terror.
