Best Electric Shaver?

I thinkit would be the best shave you ever had..just a steady hand required

One thing I always do is you a hot face cloth for about 2-3 mins to soften my stubble makes the world of difference!

i bought one of philips top shavers with the nivea system, biggest waste of money ever, paid £75 half price from boots and i never use it because it leaves me in pain on my neck / chin, i use my gillette fusion now, much better :D

Sorry to bring this back up, also looking to get one, looking at a well known online shop, theres a Phillips one with many high reviews;

Philips Nivea HS8060 Moisturizing Rotary Shaving System

Its £70 down from £150, apparantly and gets many 5* reviews.

Or best to go for a Foil Shaver?

Literally want a quick close enough shave, without having to keep going over it to get rid, usually use a Mach 3, but wanting an electric!

The foil one would be the 5784 Contour mentioned above.

Look at post #45.
Go foil.

All depends on the type of hair you have, your skin type and sensitivity.

I made the mistake of buying a top class Philips shaver before, and have to say it was one of the worst shavers I have ever used. IT took me twice as long to shave every morning, and it wrecked my skin and caused spots (at 30 years old) - But I have very thick facial hair and have to shave twice a day most days. I also have quite sensitive skin which is very oily. I really can't wet sahve, as my face will become red and break out the next day.

I also made the mistake of trying a fancy Pansonic shaver which cost around £55. It had rave reviews and had loads of fancy gimmicks on it. It was useless for me, and I had to dump it after less than 2 months.

Now I always go for the braun shavers. In 20 years of shaving (and about 10 different electric shavers) - The Braun shavers have never failed me.

All my shavers are always foils by the way.

I've decided that as my dry skin is being crucified by my electric shaver and the many recommendations on here, I've ordered a Merkur 34C and with Shaving Shack, I got 30 Israeli blades free as well, all for £25.44 delivered, that should last me a long time.

I'll finish my Sensitive shaving foam first, then get some Taylor/Trumper shaving soap afterwards, but won't bother with a brush at first, I'll see how it goes.

Just purchased the following electric shaver:

MY OPINION:

First of all becareful as a certain high street catalog store charge £180 for this which is £80 more than i piad for from http://www.shavers.co.uk/ (£99.99 delivered)

The important thing for me Is that Its KIND to my neck :)
Cuts a lot better than my old razer (braun 4 years old).
looks bloody loverly on my shelf :D (see pic above)
the clean an renew system takes 30 mins and a little noisey so if its in your bedroom best not have it cleaning itself while trying to sleep ;)

If like me you dont wish to spend 30+ minutes shaving and beeing ripped off with blades £££££ I recommend this shaver.
I also recommend the company I used. very quick delivery which is free.
