I'm looking to get a 4k TV as I currently have a very basic non-hd TV. I use it for my Xbox One S for gaming, YouTube and browser based TV shows and movies.

I am going to be upgrading to the PlayStation 5/Xbox X in November so I want to get the best quality that I can but I only have a budget of around £500.

I know I'm not going to get amazing results but I want to get the best results for what I have.

Any good recommendations? I was thinking maybe a 49 inch lg OLED TV is my best option or the Samsung QLED?

Many thanks!

Unfortunately this is the most I can afford until the middle of next year, I'm not expecting perfection just a 4k TV I can console game on without unplayable stuttering or tearing. I've currently got a 10 year old standard definition so anything is an improvement!

What about either;
Samsung UE55RU7300 55" Curved
or
LG 55UM7050PLC 55" ?

Thanks for the help guys, really appreciated, I've kinda settled on the;

Samsung UE55RU7300 55" Curved Smart 4K Ultra HD TV with HDR10+

I have seen a lot of reviews and YouTube videos of people playing consoles on absolutely fine with good frame rates and no tearing.

I hadn't really considered a monitor instead, but I think I'd rather have a larger screen and the TV I have is on the way out anyway I'll only have to get both sooner or later.

Because they focus on tv and films more, I’d rather have the opinion of actual gamers. That’s why we are all on these forums bud.
