Best F@H client setup for my machine

Hi guys,

I have two machines folding at the moment:

* The one in my sig (2500K, 560 Ti, 8Gb RAM) - currently doing about 20-25k PPD (without bonus points atm)
* Media PC with an 8800GT in (about 5k PPD)

What is the best client setup for these two to get the best points out of it? I'm currently using Win 7 and the F@H 7 client on both, but from what I've read there are clients out there that will give me better returns. Too many to understand, I thought the clients were simple before!

Any help would be most welcome :)

Nope, looks about right for non dedicated boxes with that hardware. Obv the points will rise on the 2500K if you complete the 10 SMP Wu's and have a passcode setup correctly.

Ok, thanks :) I saw in the other thread that you thought the 560 Ti should be doing 20k so that's why I questioned my setup here. Was wondering if I should reduce the CPU usage a bit to allow the GPU to have some more CPU time.

I'm trying to clarify with Stanford now how far I've got to go before I get the bonus points :)

EDIT: Looks like I'm finally getting those bonus points :)

GPU, like CPU points not only depends on the hardware you are running but on the type of workunit you get. e.g. my GTX470's get around 17K on the 800x WU's but 12-13K on other types. Same with the CPU.

I'm not sure what the 560Ti should get, it depends what type you have. If its the 384 shader model, then somewhere around 15K depending on overclock. If its the 448 then again 17-18K maybe, similar to my GTX470's

Lots of variables :)

I have a 560Ti o/c to 650/1900/2200 @ 1.025v which hits around 20k ppd depending on wu's. Using new F@H console. I mean FAH control
