Mine has been very quiet (and very hot). GPU-Z said it was at 40% fan speed, but XpertTool says 27% (haven't touched the settings yet).

Using XT I whacked it up to 50% just to check, it's probably bearable with headphones. It's idling at 38C now, what do you reckon is the best "sweet spot" for noise levels? Seems like 35-40% might be alright for constant use. I'm gonna try that anyway when I get round to doing the Rivatuner guide.

btw, 100% sounds like it'd suck my fillings out if I got close :D

Have a look at manipulating the auto settings so you can set your own constantly changing fan speed depending on temperature in rivatuner. Then you can have it at 34 while in widows on 2d profile then when u enter the games and it goes to 3d and temps rise it will go up according to temperature.

Go to power user in rivatuner->open up rivatuner/fan-> set autofanspeedcontrol to 3-> apply. Now you can change the auto settings in the fan settings :)

Basically - "Duty cycle min" is the slowest the fan can spin (in percent)
- "Duty cycle max" is the fatest the fan can spin (in percent)
- "Tmin" is the value at which your fan speed ramping starts to increase
- "Trange" is the temperature range over which the fan speed will go from is min speed to its max speed.

The fan speed goes up in a linear fashion proportionally to temperature. Obviously youll have to play around with the settings or find some other setting on google that worked for other people.
