Best fans?

What make of fans are generally considered the best?

Ive got a 92mm YS Tech on my CPU at the moment but its starting to sound a bit dodgy, was thinking of replacing it and want to know which makes are the best

Have heard good things about panaflo and nexus?

Akasa ambers are probably the best for noise / air pushing ratio - the nexus is slightly (and I mean slightly) quieter but pushes a fair bit less air. The ambers are also cheaper.

I've not used panaflo but I too have heard good things. I've asked ocuk to get nexus and panaflo stocked, but they're not listening!

edit: oops. Meant ot say it depends if you want silence (nexus, ambers) or air pushing (deltas, any others) but I personally a a strong believer in silent pcs!

kinda depends, what HSF you got? Cause a lot of fans with a high CFM don't perform as well as you'd like, as they have a dead spot in the middle where you want the most cooling.

I keep looking at all these 'novelty' fans from Thermaltake and Coolermaster etc. But most of them don't seem to live upto their billing

I like the Ambers too, also the Panaflo's (the 38mm ones L1A?) are excellent but quite noisy.
