Ideally after something cheap and cheerful that will be a good introduction for him. However, he's quite savvy with technology and wouldn't want a hunk of junk.
It would be used for simple school work (presentations, documents, perhaps some simple video editing as he's keen on experimenting with YouTube). Also using it as an introduction to PC gaming.
I was considering a chromebook and then potentially looking at letting him use stadia to experiment with pc gaming (he's massively into the switch and has completed zelda for example). He could obviously use google docs for most of the rest.
Or should I go for a windows machine?
Thoughts?
Or would a desktop be more sensible price wise? The portability isn't a necessity. Budget, realistically, is £300.
